Great video I am a avid fishermen of quabbin for many years the “big lady” offers up some top quality fishing. I personally have caught all species of fish their and the fact you could go from salmon to smallmouth, hit the reeds for largemouth or a nice pan fried white perch they are like footballs. I enjoyed your video and it’s an accurate portrait of the amount/quality you can get there.

Very interesting presentation on using old topographic maps to assist in understanding the structures beneath the surface of Quabbin Reservoir. Though historical topo maps show changes in land development down here on the Cape, they don’t really help beneath the surface of the ponds which are natural kettle lakes. A great resource none the less.

Thanks for posting this helpful article regarding the area around Quabbin Reservoir and the Swift River Valley. Though we spend much of our time fishing down on the Cape, we plan to make several trips out to Quabbin for a little fishing later this summer and through the fall. This book should be a great resource to help with fishing and the Quabbin Valley area in general.
